    Re: Welcome

Cheers guys, lots of questions and points in all that lot, this looks like it might turn into a full time job chatting with you lot.

Gary from Northern Ireland. We've been planning a trip to get over and see you Irish guys for a while but have basically been flat out since the mag got bought by Future Publishing (small team but mag basically - should be getting more staff soon though fingers crossed). If you know of any cars you reckon are up for a feature in the mag then just let us know and we'll get the case and add them to the list we've already got my friend.

Tom (Fossie). Yeah, cheers for the help with the axle feature bud, was a good en. And any more help you can give us in the future would be greatly appreciated.

NickMkII. Soz mate we only gave out the tyres to Kev and his brother to save them driving around on the canvass after they'd finished hooning at Brunters. THose boys got through a lot of rubber.

Puddy. Basically we got his section for CF after speaking to Clint about a certain old thread (from 2004) magically appeared at the top of the old school chat area. You probably remember it cus there was a lot of slagging off going on of the mag and the then editor Marc Stretton. We thought with that kind of thing going on it'd be a great idea to have an area that we can all chat cus it's more constructive, and it'll mean TS gets mentioned in the mag (not that it doesn't anyway) so everyones happy.
Personally I think that we do try very hard already to please our readers (not the easiest of tasks), and the sales figures are agreeing with that too as we're now the best selling Ford magazine in the country by a long way. Although, we know there's still room for improvement and we're working on it.

AndyBRT. Glad you liked the feature mate, the cars looked superb.

2quick4U. Alright Mark, funny you should say about the Ozzy stuff. We've got a few mental cars lined up from over there that will be going in themag this year.

TEzscort. After seeing McRae's Escort and goign up to see the guys who built it we're defo gonna have to do something on carbon fibre, yeah.

SmokeyBeansie. What's wrong with a good Vaux XE mate?

    cheers

    Steve, CF

    Re: Welcome

Clint sorry i did know about that, but as i said at the time the mag invited us not an individual. The closest person to me died a few years back and it did not stop me being professional in my work, I understand everyone is different though and things affect people in different ways. Plus Not being to sound heartless but people die all the time and life still moves on, this has nothing to do with no showing any compassion at all. And my comments were ment to be taken light hearted with the LOL and the

I apologise if I have upset anyone, wasn't my intention.

Magazine used to be good, but appears if you grap 2 copies from different years it looks to have the same stuff in it. Only so much you can publish i guess about old ford shitters

    Re: Welcome

Would just like to say thats it excellent that CF have finaly got some peeps on board that are actualy taking an interest in what the public are saying, good or bad, about the mag.
You'll get a quicker, and more honest opinion of what your doing in the mag through this place, rather than relying on snail mail.

Got to say though that I havent bought the mag for ages, or posted on here, due to financial difficulties, but Ive still got my, now 2.0 pinto injected, MK1 escort. Even if it is stashed away in a lock up.

Good luck with the mag and hopefuly be back online more in the future.

p.s I still think that Helenas coverage of the 2004 classic ford tour was definatly crap! lol

    Re: Welcome

Well done boys! It's a good idea to have a thread where everyone can express their opinion and maybe give some good ideas for the mag. CF is 1 of 2 UK mags I get put away at the local newsagency. If you looked at our 'Fast 4's' mag, it is all full of Jap crap and nothing in the way of decent old school at all. I gave up on the Australian 'small' engined' mags long ago. I have every CF mag, except 1, I lent it to a mate and he lost it! Don't lend the Bible to anyone!

well mattwildee, it might be a good engine with good power but I don't have a good feeling about it seeing it in a escort, it's personal i guess
