Firstly Congratulations to Classic Ford for asking for a Thread

At least it shows they have genuine interest in what they are doing and commitment in making it successfull.

I'm a non UK reader and I can't wait for the CF to arrive. I drool over the parts (and prices) available to you UK boys.

Suggestion :
Might make some interesting reading if you could do indepth reviews/specs of some of the most famous escorts eg the grp 4, zaxspeed etc.

Also some tech info on fitting non-ford parts to Fords, eg braking systems, gearboxes, diffs etc

Alright Darth, you in Oz? Can't say anything too specific, but we've got Zakspeed stuff in place and ready to go in the mag, so that should keep you happy.
The non Ford mechanicals thing's a bit tricky because you have to either do it yourself or find guys that have done it and not that many people do - other than XEs, Rover V8s etc. But if the opportunity for a feature like that comes along we'd defo jump on it mate.

We end up fitting all strange parts to our Escorts, mainly because we dont have the Ford resources available to us here. So Toyota gearboxes, diffs, BMW calipers, Falcon gearboxes, Chevy gearboxes and what not find there way on to our cars sooner or later.

Oh I'd love to see an article on an Mk1 Escort that belonged to an escort legend here - Willie Meisner. I think Heritage Ford had an article on it years ago. I believe the car is still in the UK some where

i think in the past some of the cars featured or even on the cover have not been of such a high quality build or standard of finish

... dont get me wrong, they were good cars, but maybe just not cover worthy
from an aussie point of view

. I have to say that both Jon Hill (photo's) and Marc Stretton (words) were both spot on guys, interested in our cars (Andy BRT was with me for the photo shoot), and we all really enjoyed whole the day.
