Difference between dmtl and dmtt
Hi guys, anyone know wether the only difference is the gasket kit? Or were there other mods to the dmtt to make it boost friendly? Cheers

onyd has said plenty about these in various posts about turbos, mainly on pintos, so a search should show something up

Yeah I've had a few days research. A lot has come up with that user but he's never really mentioned wether they are the same carb just with a different seal kit but he has said it is based on it. I wouldn't ask without having already searched. (Never knew about the dmtt before research via searching)

Is there a particular reason to stay carb rather than run the Sierra efi setup?

Re: Difference between dmtl and dmtt
DMTT was the Weber turbo version of DMTL. Mainly better gasket and different jets / emulsion tubes (I think n° 22 but can't fully remember). I guess the full load system must had mods but I never had one in my hand. At least I've modded the DMTL carb before I was using it. Came with the Ford turbo rally kit (just before RS turbo arrived with K-jetronic).

Thanks bud, I wasn't sure if there were any additional mods, linkage seal, tubing to float bowl etc.

Re: Difference between dmtl and dmtt
Sorry for my late replay but was extreme busy (and still) over the last few months. Somewhere on this forum I've explained the most easy mods you can add and is working very well for low boost turbo setups. I had more power with the DMTL in the same turbo engine as I had with the original fuel injection setup and programmable ECU. Some say I did not tuned the fuel injection very well because it should have to be opposite but believe me, tested on exact the same engine and I had no reason to lay to myself, it was a test I did as many others to see what was indeed happening (not what we think or all believe to know what would happen). Extra power came almost sure from the colder air do to vaporization of liters of fuel.
Please try to find the right topic or ask someone to let us know where I've wrote it, I can't remember. Follow the recommendations and it will work.
