When i ran a celica lsd which was basically the same as a the corolla axle, I was told the Lsd from a straight 6 celica supra it was the same even though it was an irs, I never broke my led to need spares.

Hey schranz, I have a hilux rear in my RS and they are an 8inch head,I thought the AE86 were 7"? if you can get hold of a later model hilux lsd as they have a better clutch pack apparently and get it shimmed it should suffice. I bought a 4.1 and tried hunting for a 3.7 which are hard to find here and a diff specialist happened to have a supra 3.7,not sure what year supra sorry and they put it in and shimmed up, happy days!

YOu can also use a Torsen type LSD from a supra / cressida too that bolts in with no mods. Not sure on benefits / problems with this style of diff though

    Cheers

Recently took mine apart and cannot remember if there is a spacer in there. If there was it is very thin. 95% sure the crown wheel was bolted direct to the Kaaz
