    Mk2 Escort Bias box

    Hello chaps

I bought a bias box from the Escort-Tec stand a couple years ago at Santa Pod. I fitted it ages ago but when i bought the twin throttle cable recently along with that daft little alloy block to go at the top of the accelerator pedal i realised the top of my pedal (where the block should go) is different. I'm guessing its a standard pedal, its got a little ball off to the side and the top of the bar is flat. Anyone got any idea what i need to set up the twin cables to my pedal? Im gonna guess i need a new pedal but not sure which one to get and there not too cheap! Can i adapt this pedal somehow?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Cheers

    Dave

i chopped mine off and welded on m12 bolt threads (i think) you can then secure the block with a nut either side rather than just the grub screws.

My pedal is modified with a small piece of angle welded to the top of it, then two holes drilled in that to put the cable inners through.

This may be of use to you:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mk1-Mk2-Mk...e=STRK:MESE:IT

Its designed to fit the existing ball & socket type standard pedal & to fit to most types of aftermarket throttle linkages.

    Cheers !

I know a man who builds and rallys manta 400s and he uses pinto clutch cables for his throttles as they are stronger.

    Thanks Guys

Appreciate the feedback! I think the welding an angled rod with 2 holes in it for the cables sounds good. Either that or welding a straight bar on the top of the pedal for the block to go!

Ill take the pedal off and have a play about with it

    Cheers
