    Well done HIC!

Just been phoning round for insurance on the pop and HIC have done the business for me again £340.00 fully comp on a classic policy which I think is bloody good considering I'm only 23 and its a 2 litre. So if you are phoning round for insurance if well worth giving them a call. Oh and they are good at paying up too because I claimed for my Escort and had no problems

I'm with them and thought they were good.
Have they coughed the full amount for the Escort now Richard or are they paying for repairs?

    Re: Well done HIC!

They paid £2300 for repairs and didn't write off the car. Agreed value was £3500. Not bad really and I'm sure I could make that up to £3500 by selling the parts if I can't rescue the Escort

    Sounds pretty good to me.
Are you thinking you might not rescue it now?
I thought you decided to do it.

I'm going to try and rescue it but if the shell turns out worse than it looks then it might not be worth fixing as its worth quite a bit in parts. Not a decision I would take lightly though as I love my flying bogey Going to strip it down this week and have a proper look hopefully

Well I do wish you luck, but check their minimum age for classic policies.

    Re: Well done HIC!

I don't think you will be able to insure it under a classic policy until you are at least 21. Probably going to be expensive with a 1.6 engine. If I was you I would check the insurance now in case you need to rethink your engine plans. Hopefully you will be alright but insurance has gone a bit lately!

Yeah they have changed their policy but if you are already a customer they can't kick you off

Me by 35 minutes - I dont think I will get a discount on my insurance either way

I will probably have him as the first driver as he will end up driving it more than me, there is no way im bringing it down to Liverpool.

He has a company van and 1 years NCB, Shame he has to be 21

Oh well that's that then. I thought he was the eldest.

And yes, I did know you were twins.
And I thought it was him that put it in a ditch in the first place.
