Sorry if I am annoying guys with my questions. I am still researching for my mk1 build. So learning as I go.
I spent the last two hours reading old posts. Really start to get lost in technical stuff
I was considering compression struts with drop link kit. So far I have read that compression struts are only used in rallying for strength?
Also on a lowered car compression struts induce dive under braking. (this car wont be lowered much, if it atall, Im weird Im not gone on slamming cars)
Some increase spring rates and use no ARB atall. (not really an option for me, its mainly a road car, do not want serious spring rates!)
Compression struts will allow adjustment of the caster.
The alternative to this is a twin cam anti roll bar with anti-dive. I had a quick look and saw twin cam ARB's for £105..Thats alot consider another £50 odd for the anti dive.
My reasoning for compression struts its for similar money I can have alot more trick looking set up(Yes thats posing I know, but I like my trickery within reason). Would compresion strut set up with drop links be as good as the twin cam arb and anti dive?
Is there any alternatives? Or anyone recommend a deacent front set-up.
Oh also how do you tell a twink arb from a standard?
