Hey guys...well im all the way from NZ, came browsing your site in search for other SOHC turbo pintos

Heres my 1972 mk1 Capri anyway...a little different from what you might expect...




So yea...the engine in it at the time of the photos was a mildly worked 2L SOHC n/a pinto.
Heres the new motor that im currently putting in..

Engine made 230HP with a strangled exhaust. Have new tubular headers and new exhuast system for it should see a few extra HP out of it

Well Id thought id update my thread!

Its had a full respray (engine bay, inside doors, boot etc included) and the new turbo pinto is in, but yet to run (have to mount fuel pump and run fuel lines etc).

Anyway, heres a few pictures from a show it was at a couple weeks ago, took out best interior, best piston engine and oldschool champion.






And this is the capri and a fellow oldschoolers cortina wagon, running a 12a rotary engine etc, very nice...

Was trawling these forums again and thought I would update this..

Couple pics below and I had it tuned end of last year and ended up with 270hp which is ok, the t28 turbo has pretty much ran out of puff, although it's super responsive with near no lag at all. I'll look into upgrading the turbo to a slightly bigger one and raise the rev limit from 6500rpm to 7000rpm I think.
