Here goes, My 1600GL Auto, no less. Complete with Dozens of Redback's

Been here since Jan '14 and we bought this about 3 weeks after we landed;




The not so good side;












These were taken once I got it home. Since then wheels have gone as I wasn't keen and it's had a full service. Other than that I have just been using it whilst I collect parts.

Its not too bad and is solid in all the right places. It will get there but its more of a rolling resto at the minute.

Welcome Longman. Where do you hail from?

your car looks like it has an original exhaust system fitted. Would you mind posting up the dimensions of the rear silencer (diameter and length)? I need to cobble up something for my own car and want something as close to stock as I can make it. Thanks.

Hi mate,

Yes I'll pop some dimensions up if you want. I would be willing to sell it as I have a different system I'd like to fit so it will be redundant soon anyway.

The plan is just a rolling resto at the minute with some subtle mods/wheels and just a general bufty up really. Would love to do a ground up bare shell thing but don't really want it off the road nor does it really need to come off the road. I'm doing a few things at the minute so will post up some progress very soon.

One other thing is to bin the horrible Auto box!!

I have just finished touching up the engine bay on the Pug and the crank and liners are ground/honed, just waiting for my bearings and head skim before I put it back in.
