HELP!! Ticking noise from Cylinder 4?

two days ago my RS started making a ticking noise sounds like its coming from cyliner 4. I took the HT lead of cylinder 4 and it seam to stop. I tried changing HT leads and changes pluf from cylinder 1 and it still makes the sound from cylinder 4?????????????

    Any suggestions greatfully recieved?

theree months ago it had a rebuild with new cam folllowers etc, piper cam, bearings, rings, head gasket etc.

Oil looks normal, not loosing any water etc???

Also tried different dizzy cap still the same. Took Rocker cover off all looks normal reasonable amount of oil in there and followers look ok?

    HELP!

if the ticking noise goes away when number 4 lead is removed the problem is load related to that cylinder so, it cant be plugs, leads cam or followers or valve related,

more likely an exhaust manifold gasket blowing, if its not that its more serious, like piston slap or a big end on the way out
