    Cossie Anglia

Thought it was about time I started a thread about my Anglia , I have been building it on and off for to many years to count it feels .
At the moment in the middle of doing the bodywork last of the new panels has gone on ,and now time to start the filler work.
So I hope you enjoy the photos below, these have been taken over the last year wich has seen alot happen to the car since I got it back from Milton last January .
Would also like to say a big thankyou to my Dad for all his help when we started this project many years ago ,just wish he was still alive to see it finished ,but I know he is looking down at me checking how I am getting on.
Also a big thankyou to my brother Kevin and my fellow Anglia nut Russ for all there help with all the welding .
    Cheers Ian

Looking really good Ian . Some really nice fabricating going on there, look's like most of the hard works been done now so all you've got to look foward to are all those little "fitting bits here and there" jobs . Keep the pics coming Ian so we can all watch it come together, popcorn:

    Re: Cossie Anglia

Right time for an update , since the last time I posted any pics ,we have fitted new wing rails both sides

Removed the front box section and capped the chassis and fitted the box section a little further back

    Fitted new front wings

Then refitted the engine and box etc , ready to take to Gary at Retro motorsport to work his magic.

So now the car is with Gary , and I will leave it to you Gary to update this thread with some pics .
    Cheers Ian

Not a great deal, some reprofiling of the bulkhead to clear the exhaust, revised peddle box due to the exhaust, cage mods to allow harness fixings, mount the IC and Rad, exhaust tunnel... ooh seat belt mounts in the floor, and seat mounts.. think thats it

What no bubble arches Garry you know you want to,with that motor it's surely going to need some serious rubber

    Re: Cossie Anglia

Ians engine is tight to the bulkhead, and this was causing problems with the downpipe from the turbo, so nothing else for it but to move the pedal box back. But as Ians not 4 foot tall this would have put him to far back in the car... his head would be behind the main hoop of the cage, which is a no no.

Solution .. mount a Willwood pendant pedal set up in there and move the bulkhead back a bit.

I also started on the prep work for getting the cossie turbo sized exhaust up off the road , first part was moving the gear box x-member from the exhaust route .. the tunnel will follow.

And to stop Ian ripping the dash out when he's leaning on the steering wheel he now has a braced mount attaching to the natty little ally mount that was allready there and a dash bar thats bolte to the cage

    Re: Cossie Anglia

And to follow on from the little notch on the x-member for the exhaust, heres the tunnel/ silencer housing ...

The silencer housing will enable 2 boxes to be used, as the anglia underboot area is smaller than an escort the silencer thats normally used wouldnt fit.. so a smaller one is required.

credit to you ian, gary top work as per usual. weve all seen so much of your work its norm now to see works of art being produced in cutomers cars!! unique touches like following the recess of the floorpan into the silencer tunnel shows how much care and attention you put into the job instead of just knocking out quick work to earn the most bucks possible per day.
    in short.... done well guys!!!!

Thanks for the nice comments , and you are right about Gary he knows how to make a car look a work of art , and you know when he is working on your car that it is money well spent , as he will do everything correctly and not do anything that you don't need just to make money out of you .
In short the man is a metal working legend

    Cheers Ian
