axle welding question

Thanks all
So my Millton anti tramp/A frame kit has arrived it requires 2 brackets to be welded to the axel do I need to strip the axel removing the half shafts or can I weld it still assembled.

many will have been welded onto a complete axle still on a car

i have welded a few now with the axle built up and i have had no problems, you'll be fine

Will only be a problem if you burn through and that would be difficult. I removed the shafts as i had to due to brake upgrade but back to the question. No need to remove the half shafts while welding the brackets

Did mine off the car with no shafts in but diff in. Shafts were only out due to being machined for discs. Did escort tramps on a complete axle no issues.
