I think it is safe to say it has been stolen. Buying it amounts to receiving stolen goods.
Stolen - report it to the police as well - Fookers
isnt there some kind of acid you can use to show up the vin?The guy selling it is as straight as they come he has had it for 3 years!must have bought it like it.
the bike could be an insurance total loss, and been sold on as salvage, but in that case if the vin is missing its because it was declared a cat A write off which cannot go back on the road and should of been either crushed or sold as parts only.
more likely its been stolen,
either way if the vin number is missing dont touch it, is it worth the risk of at best having the bike taken away from you and threfore you have parted with your cash for nothing, or be prosecuted for receiving stolen goods
The guy might be as straight as they come but he's been sold a stolen bike.Don't touch it with a barge pole. Couldn't even use it for racing as I'm pretty surethe scrutineers check for VIN's.
na they dont check for vin no and motorx i race and iv never seen them look dont touch it mate
HPI it?
Is the whole number missing or can you make any of it out?
It can be HPI'd by the reg and see if the engine no. matches at least??
Just an idea, not trying to sell an hpi.. Honest
dont think u can hpi check it as it doesnt have a number plate as its a motorcross bike u dont even have log books for them stupid really
Oh ok, i just assumed it was or may have been a road registered off road bike.
