Can anyone help, What is the maximum usable choke size to put in a 48 dco/sp carb? Iv read that a to big choke will reduce the signal strength over the main jet but is this only a factor at lower rpm's?
will going from the std 42mm choke to 45-46mm help with a powerband of 6000-8500rpm
acording to the weber chart/graph "Venturi size vs rpm at peak power" 42mm will be on the conservative size I want to make perk power as high as possible.
I have experimented with 38 and 40mm chokes in a 45 dcoe and found no difference. This testing was on a drag strip and not a dyno so there are obviously other variables but the car would run within a few hundredths with either chokes.
I'd be appreciative if anyone has any info or back to back results they have found
thanks joe
