    Re: FIESTA v6 TURBO

blimey forgot i had the fiesta lol....i hav'nt got any really but the shafts are cut down and sleeved over quite simple, its got mondeo front hubs(on the rear) so the drive shafts fit straight through and join the gearbox you need to use compression struts or link bars
and addjustable TCA's so the suspension is fully adjustable
    hope it helps

    Re: FIESTA v6 TURBO

There will be no movement, you have some steering arms welded to the chassis so that you can adjust the toe in and out, and then make up a lower arm to locate the hub

    Re: FIESTA v6 TURBO

yea i get the tca will be fixed to the chassis with a rod with a locking nut to adjust toe in/out,how is the lower arm mounted if he is using mondeo front hubs ,has there been a mountin welded to the chasis for the for the front arms and the rear shocks go up the turrent as they would do standard?sorry to be a pain.

i can see now mate nice 1,where did you source that lower arm/link bar (whatever you like to call it) from?also is the rear mouting your own work or lucky enough to be a fixing point on the standard chasis?

looks to be going to the original rear beam mounting point, but there must be more to it

ah, on closer inspection there's rods going forward to original beam point, then the main arm goes to fabricated points closer to the centreline

that looks awesome mate, well done!

have you thought about maybe using a charge cooler instead of inercooler, that way you need not worry too much about temps

    Re: FIESTA v6 TURBO

The build looks absolute class. Could i pick ur brains regarding the emerald.

i have a mondeo with v6 front, v6 rear with twin t2 turbos. obviously i need to set up for the changes to the rear but how much of the original engine loom and ecu were kept if any. As if it all goes i neednt bother trimming it down.

    Re: FIESTA v6 TURBO

i've not wired the emerald in yet but its a basic loom that goes to about 8 places you can buy a plug with extended wires and connect it that way but i'm not that clever i've got a m8 doing mine

    Re: FIESTA v6 TURBO

Are you running two lambda's ie one in each manifold?
If so i'd move them to the other side of the flex joint so its reading all 3 cylinders on each manifold, if your only running one (in total) then put it in the link pipe just after 2 into 1.

Or can you run 6 and do individual cylinder trimming with the ecu?

well i've had a few things going on over the last 2 years with work etc work has now gone into administration so i might be selling soon DOH!!!
it just needs painting and the ECU wired in (i have the latest EMERALD to fit)so there you go if work stays ok etc i'll keep it and finish lol,but as people know i buy
the best parts which cost mucho money and take time to save for so i never do things quickly but quality isn't cheap

Keep in there tone I did wonder if that refinery was anything to do with you, fingers crossed for a bailout/takeover....id doubt they would let something like that be unused, especially the government...think how much tax they would be losing from it not supplying fuel.
