    Arrow 1600 XFlow Turbo from SA

    She is a 1600 XFlow with a fuel injection intake and a MR Turbo fuel managemant system, Nural low comp piston does what its designed for, a T3 Turbo huffs and puffs to give a rather hard feeling ... a Type 9 box is being fitted[we arent lucky enough to get a T5 over here!]

    The power is 125hp@wheels on 0,6bar booost, but the head and cam is still std! there is plans in the pipe line to boost higher and do the head and cam!!

    coz there isnt another one in SA...

    well i didnt like the idea of another engine in my esco so i decided to turbo the Kent!

    thanks guys, im the first in SA that is fuel injected as well!!

    @looneytune: its a straiht T3 A/R .48, it starts boosting at about 3700rpm! so its a bit laggy but leka like that!!

    @gozmo: yeah me and my dad made da manifolds!

    @sierra3dr: yeah the wastegate is the first thing you notice when i pop da hood, the twin scroll turbos arent readily available here so we have to try and make power the difficult way!

    @bortaf: yeah the guys here dont actually turbo the kents, but i just didnt wanna modify another(crappy jappy toyota) motor into my baby

    hi Ladys and gents , anyone here done a TF035 turbo on a kent 1600 engine ? im busy rebuilding a Mark 2 1980 model ford escort and im new to this rebuilding concept

    I am doing a turbo 1600 kent with a TF035. still in progress to do the engine build. Where do you live?

    Hey man, we've done the same. 1600 Kent fuel injection & turbo. We are also boosting near 0.6 bar. Have you boosted higher than this? We want to see if she can handle 1.0 bar.

    Old thread resurrection and most posters have seemingly moved on, but if you are still running cast pistons don't expect them to last long with decent boost or ANY sort of detonation! Either the rings will lose temper, the top ringlands will crack / part ways from the piston or you'll put a hole in the crown. I assume you are using 1.6 LC or 1.3 pistons? to lower the CR?
