    redtop rs2000 custom

ford escort mk2 rs2000 custom with vauxhall redtop engine fitted.
i got the car about two years ago with most of the welding completed. its had:
    inner sills
    outer sills
    front floor pans
    drip rails
    strut tops
i have finished the welding myself as a few extra bits needed doing.
the car has a big gearbox tunnel fitted.
the redtop engine came from an early Astra GTE with a cos cast head. (you know what these are worth if you know what your looking for)
it has a new timing belt and tension er kit fitted and a new clutch and chrome timing belt cover.
    i have since perchased:
larger bore manifold and full exhaust system
    sbd bell housing
Yuk speed sump and chassis mount kit which has been used to mount the engine.
bulkhead has been modified for the distributor.
engine loom mostly fitted just three wires to connect.
ally fuel tank needs a small amount of ally welding.
the gearbox fitted to the car will need checking or a new one put in as i don't know the condition of it.
rear axel, front cross member and steering rack have all been refurbished painted in black. 90% of the running gear is clean and painted
inch and a half lowering blocks
    4.54 rs diff
boot and bonnet have had the inner skins removed to save weight.
has two Subaru impreza reclining sports seats fitted.
the bodywork requires a final skim and rub down. no panel work required.
    clutch cable fitted

the whole underside of the car has been stripped cleaned and stonechipped in black which i did on my roll over jig so i didnt miss anything.
the engine bay got the same treatment as the underside also finished in black.
this car was intended to be a fast road car so doesnt included any carpets or interior parts.

    a paint job.

this car with these little jobs done will be worth in excess of £6000 plus.
a couple of weeks work for a compatent person.
seens a few of these doing drift days and look so much fun.
this car would be the ultimate track, drift, roadcar. i just wish i had the time to finish it as i have too many projects on the go.
    very reluctant sale.
someone will benifit from the hours and hours of work and the thousands of pounds spent.
rs2000's are getting rare and customs even more so.
rotton shells with logbooks are going for over a grand so no silly offers please.
veiwing is more than welcome. phone 07980995325
trailer and van or large car will be needed to collect as there are so many bits.
could possibly deliver localish for a cost. im not traveling down to essex.

im not sure what its worth but a price is needed so id say £3200 ono

    Re: redtop rs2000 custom

you have the spring lowering block things around the wrong way m8.get rid of the rubber mount between thew block and the axle, the diff should be a 3.54 i think as well.good luck with the sale tho
