    fuel help

    hi could anyone tell me if you are running an injection enginge if you have a baff and foam filled tank do you still need a swirl pot or will the tank be good with foam and baf many thanks

    in my experience the foam doesnt actually do much on a full on competition car with good grip.

    with fuel injection you are more likelyto need a swirl pot than with carbs because the moment the fuel pickup in the thank doesnt pick up fuel the pressure drops and staves the injectors of fuel but carbs have float bowls which store a little fuel

    ok thanks fellas its going in mk1 escort fabed ally tank on throttlebodys i want to get rid of the lift pump and swirl pot so just have cossie pump only ??? and used for trackdays

    sorry but in my opinion for your application the swirl pot and a lift pump are a must have

    Do you still need a lift pump if you're fitting a shaped ally tank in the boot of an escort and swirl pot next to it so that the outlets of the tank are near enough level with the inlets of the swirl pot?
