ok for those that dont know,

hold one end of the hose to your ear and the other to no1 carb intake, then transfer the hose to no2 carb intake, if the carbs are in balence the sound you hear will be the same, if not just adjust the balence screw until they do sound the same, usually you will also notice the engine run smoother as you get the balence closer, if the balence is miles out you may have to either speed up or slow down the idle screw to keep it running or stop it racing away and start again

Can do em by ear but I also used a bike one when doing my dellortos - did em by ear first but it was nice to confirm what I'd done was OK and fine tune em.

If you dont trust your ears, how about one of these? Matt used one on my throttle bodies and it made a fair difference - so I'll be adding one to the toolkit soon I reckon...

    Re: carb balancer

the only problem with those it the clearance between the inner wing and trumpet. I tried to use one, even with the 90 degree adapter they supply, and it wouldnt fit. I had approx 1.5" gap too, so unless your using short trumpets i wouldnt bother.

this is the one i would personally buy.

    Re: carb balancer

Ahhh that could be a problem! Mine was Ok as the engine is installed tilted over towards the o/s so LOTS of clearance around my long trumpets

(Just a shame that means the air filter is hard up against the bonnet and a strut brace is going to be an issue )

    Cheers,

    Paul
