This looks like a 1000 piece jigsaw! Some awesome fabrication there, don't think I have seen a more rusty mk1, well done for staying on it and not looking for a better shell, utmost respect.
inspiration for us all,well done
as you say,its only rust!
if you do it in manageable sections it soon becomes a whole car again

dryed out a bit now so done a bit today with my bad neck killing me
poped top pan back in
cleaned back, cut some more rust out and frenched a plate back in ready for the upright to
go back in hopefully on tuesday
Thats the way to go.Bike parts makes em faster guaranteed,or so i believe!
a major undertaking there.. looks good tho.. keep up the good work! nice motor waiting in the wings too...
have done a bit more it seems easyer to do a few hours than get a day on her at least this way
i am getting some stuff done but my 4 days a week looks as if it will be back to 5 days
got this pan leg back in
poped a patch back in hear
my 2 grinders are both worn out well the brushes are, a good mate is getting a new one
for me on his way over, so i cut this sheet part ready for the hours of beeting that i know
it will take as did the last side
then cut the other side out ready for clean up the in side of this chassis this side
will need some work later dont let me forget lol
new grinder is hear and a cup of tea later i put luke to work helping me get the door off
have found a much easyer way than last time i have been spraying it with wd40 for weeks
but a few taps and it did not move, so out with lukes blow torch nice and hot use the hinge pin
tool to remove but used a air chisel insted of big hamer and after a min or two and reheat
out it flew the second one was even easyer
made a quick patch and poped it in ready for the pan leg
pan leg welded back in not done this much in months lol so back in doors to order more stuff
Fair play mate, most people, me included, would have admitted defeat on your car but I can see your capable of doing anything you find, well done!
66 Mustang
Wow,,,lots of work needed there, good to see it being saved though. ill be keeping me eye on this resto...
thanks for your coments guys it keeps me going, got stuck in today
for 5 hours or so, i removed a pillar skin first to find more rust
had to chop out and patch this first
then 2 more bits that i could not bring myself to cover up
i cleaned it all back to shiny steel and zinc painted it cup of tea
then poped the piller skin on theres me old welder RIP lol wish
it still worked use to weld so nice compeared to my new one
then put the bulk head end on was going good so spoted then seemed 90% of it
just need to tie it back to top mount and it will be getting strong again
Bloody hell, there's bits of actual car appearing out of that pile of rust!
Keep going mate, I never thought anyone would save a rustier one than mine, but you are proving me wrong!

most of them are less rusty than mine lol i should not have left it standing all them years
out in the wet just glad i did the back end last time i only stoped using her coz the wings
needed to come off and it could not stay parked out side my house to have that done
so it got parked up at my dads were it was out of sight and out of mind gutted it rusted
so bad out there, so i made a lot more work doing it now but when done will live in the
garage, my new parts turned up today
will soon have these on as soon as the car can take its own weight
picked these rad panels up too thought be easyer to fitt all new
when i do the front panel crossmember and slam
thought i would finish this bit to tie it all back a bit more
put a nice strong edge back hear too ready for top bulk head now
i need to make this one the same as the other side so i called it
a day coz thats no 5 min job and was time for cup of tea so hears
my up date guys
fair play mate some good work going on there.
