Mk2 Focus ST block mod help

Hi I’m in need of a little advice, I’m wanting to do the block mod on my FST225 and wondered if anyone on here had done the job themselves, the main question is does the head need a skim once removed and is there enough room at the back of the engine to just push the Turbo out of the way. I’ve no issue with doing the job but there doesn’t seem to be much advice online about the job, any info would be greatly appreciated thankyou..

you dont have to skim a head if you remove it, but around 95% of heads we remove at work are in such condition where they do want one. i know of the block mod you are talking about, but cannot help re turbo
