    front end of the mexico

    Hey guys
Made a few changes to the front end of the mex recently. Have taken the (i thought) horrible sun strip out, removed the k&n
sticker on the front spoiler and painted the grill surround the correct strato silver.
    First a before photo

And then here is how it looks now, although the before picture wasnt taken on a shitty camera phone

What do you guys reckon? I think it looks better personally.
All i need now is 4 cibie super oscars and i think i'm there with the front end
For the eagle eyed among you who may have noticed i only have 1 seat in. This was only temporary ... i removed one of the sparco seats to try and fit my black cobra monaco's
in to get rid of the garish bright red ones. However, the subframes for the sparco seats are different than the 1s for the cobra's, so they wont fit, doh!
If anyone knows of any cheap second hand subframes to fit cobra bucket seats into a mk2 escort, please let me know :p
Failing that if anyone wants to swap a pair of unused cobra monaco seats AND a pair of sparco spint seats for a set of rolltop front seats or maybe even fishnet recaro's, please let me know that too :p
Anyways, enough babbling, i also put a new mascot in the car (there was a toy rat in there) However i thought that SCRAT from ice age was much more my style
(scruffy and always hungry) so i spent 9 bloody quid trying to win the bloody thing from one of those grabber machines in the arcades, hehe.

oh, and here is a pic from the side just because

well it actually took me (no overexxageration here) 5 hours to mask off

then some friendly people over at rallyesportescorts kindly informed me (when it was too late ) that the easiest thing to do it paint the silver liberally .... and then mask off the few bits that are remaining silver and do the rest black that would have taken about an hour i should imagine

i shall know for next time though

thanks for NOT mentioning the ears ..... but i cant work out whether or not that should ve voided as you mentioned not mentioning my ears ... therefore vicariously my ears were mentioned

Keg .... they are 24mm silicone tunnels and i like them cause they look like polybushes

ahhh Russ, i swapped the sunstrip for a 1/43 scale minichamps escort rs2000!

Lots of people have enquired about it, apparently it was quite sought after .... maybe i should have kept it

Cozyvan - like how you recognised the ears and not the motor ..... i must be doing something wrong
