    Cool Mk5 Cortina

My chairot for when i pass.. 82 cortina mk5 caruosel 1.6 36,000 from new with the rs boot spoiler aswell.. now time for piks when i first got her

First mod cut a coil off the spring to get her looking abit better and a bloody good clean and some photos.

after a while i decided the green interior had to go as it was to much green for me to handle so 2 days after pay day had a phone call of my dads mate saying he knew were there was a mk5 tina ghia for sale for £250 but needed a fair bit of body work so next day and 250 quid lighter had a mk5 ghia ready to be striped

from then got it down to a bare shell and got all the parts i wanted before sending to the ford heaven, so with all the bits i wanted (interior) i got the vac and some dashboard cleaner out and clean up the seats and centre console

from this i got my old man to drive the car to the unit were all the new interior was been stored and set to work on swaping it all over.
    End results

also clean and sand blasted the rocker cover down as it was aslo green and painted it blue and put a twin choke on it
    .

thats all for now untill the nicer weather come back will hopefully be able to get some more progress done with the car untill the this is how she sits.

personally i prefer em without the bib, unless your gonna run a 2.8i or block out the lettering somehow, my 24v was perfectly stable at 130 hurumph mph without one, it was all polybushed and on proper lowered springs and gas shocks though.

havent updated in a wile so here goes........

Cars been on the road for about a month now.. has got a standard 2.0efi pinto 5speed box, complete poly bush kit, late spec cossie rims. Also i have started grafting central locking motors in and a toad alarm, going to be doing a rear disk conversion also going to put a atlas axle on here just looking for one going cheap-ish.. but for now ill let the pic do the talking

ohhh yhh, front valance happened when we had the rain for the first time in about 5 weeks greasy roads wrong gear and it just went all pear shaped so ill be getting on soon.
