    Getting rid of the brake sevo on my mk1 estate

    HI ALL YOU HELPFULL PEOPLE AFTER DISCOVERING THAT MY CALIPERS DONT FIT MY STRUTS IM NOW GOING TO CHANGE THEM. NEXT PROBLEM IM RUNNING A PAIR OF 40'S SO THE SERVO IS IN THE WAY LOOKED AT LOWERING IT DOWN BUT THIS SEEMS LIKE A LOT OF HASSLE SO IM NOW
    GOING TO DITCH THE SERVO,
    WHAT I NEED TO KNOW IS WHAT MASTER CYLINDER AND PUSH ROD AND ANY OTHER BITS DO I NEED TO GET?
    ITS GOT A STANDARD PEDALBOX.

    You can ditch servo and bolt original master cylinder to bulk head, may have to slightly alter connecting rods. Early escorts did'nt have servo so find photo of old base model for reference.

    base model mk1 and mk2's had no servo's fitted. Somone like GS escorts should have the bits you need.

    Just sold my 40's to a guy and he's sent me pics of them fitted with a servo, was a X/flow ?

    He said it took a couple of hours to do the whole thing, including lowering the servo.

    No he's on OSF you need to sort your loggin on mate !!!

    You can see the top servo hole in the 2nd pic, he just used the bottom hole for the top one and drilled a new one for the others.

    I'm sure if you dummy fitted the servo you could work out the spacings etc.

    Servo uses vacuum from inlet manifold. Get rid of servo and airflow better hence more BHP
