Do i have to use i lowerd rack mount X member

Do i have to use a lowerd rack mount X member when fitting a Xe engine ? I am going to chassis mount it and plan cutting the towers off my (RIXY) GP4 world cup one that is fitted already with standard rack mounts . Is this ok ?

unless your running with raised suspension to cope with rallying on the loose i see no reason to use lowered rack mounts

I had to lower the rack mounts on my x member so i could fit the engine lower. I used a standard x member and cut the mounts off and lowered them the same amount as a lowered rack to save money.

why not cut a std xmem and save £100 w/c one ?

use a standard one only there to hold the rack on ebay the other!!
