EcoBoost Builds??

Relatively new to Turbosport and have been using the forum as great source of information for my mk2 build.

I have the car and the engine: 1973 uk 2door and 2017 2.3 EcoBoost (RS focus)

The little info that there is on the forum regarding EcoBoost builds is scattered throughout the forum and hard to compile.

I know there is a few 1.6 conversions completed and the EcoBoost is likely to become a more frequent install as engine prices drop.

Any chance of an EcoBoost subsection to keep all Info together?

Id like to drop a eco boost engine in my mk2 but still very expensive had a look on sbd website

The 1.6 appears to be a simpler build as the 2.3 has a taller block, gearbox wise the bell housing figment is the same as a duratec which will hopefully simplify things

Anyone any other info??

yes given enough interest, but its not going to be possible to populate it with old threads, so unless theres a major uptake of info in this thread its a bit pointless, for now at any rate

Graham thanks for the reply.

Would you not see it as an installation that will soon be common and a replacement for zetec and duratec builds(turbo lovers obviously). A dedicated section may increase discussion and interest opposed to threads here there and everywhere throughout the forum.

Is there a pole section for users to vote if they think it would be a useful section in the forum?

in time gone by site admin used to add loads of extra sections for discussion but that was in they days before facebook when there literally used to be 1000's of posts a day on here. As it stands i dont see enough interest

site users can add a pole if you cant see that option its probably because you havnt made enough posts

I have always had a passion for fitting a 5 pot engine out of the ST into a Mk 2 both in Turbo and NA but time is never on my side. I am still trying to get Escort finished with the Pinto engine.
