Quick check on the tunnels tonight but getting Robs MK2 ready for the Dukeries Rally on the 8th couple of repairs done, repaired the mounting for the Proflex canister and remake some new rear bumper brackets ready for paint and the alternator needs looking at just needs a clean and a spanner check ready for the 8th
You need to get rid of that gravel rash on the side of the car before the 8th

Well even bigger hole cut in the car tonight ! my god the Group 4 Fabrications tunnel is HUGE lol
Bit more done tonight got he front tunnel in just a couple of patches to do then fit the bulkhead strengthening plate then start on the rear diff tunnel
My mate Andy says he's going to call into the local DAF dealer to pick up a 12 speed box because the tunnel so big

Will a Tractive fit in that hole or is it limited to a 60G??
Right the tunnels are in bit of grinding to finish off the to get it back on the spit and carry on

Small repair on the rear chassis rail last night going to chop a notch out for the atlas axle to go travel up a bit higher, need to get the rest of the old link boxes out oh what fun can be had with a plasma cutter
need a tig welder/plasma cutter!!!! that is next on the shopping list

Right we have been busy in the workshop doing all sorts of bits and pieces on the car tonight we ave repaired the NSR lower window frame due to tin worm, the front bulkhead reinforcing plates fitted, new home made floor seat cross member fitted more chassis rail repairs done just a couple more bits to do on the rails a couple of little repairs to do on the front floor wheel well then the hard bit comes to start on the 15" tubs and turrets !!! My new rear seat crossmember s should be here this week I ave had full size tall plates made for the back didn't like the add on bits above the old crossmember !

That's Steve Dance I look after his CCTV and all that over there and we were talking about Turbosport and the locals on it he allways remembers you coming sideways towards him in the grab-loader lol, my cars up my mates Robs workshop near Tadley so far it's been 51 nights from about 21.00 - 02.00 our normal nocturnal sessions lol, Rob rally's a mk2 1600 xm forest car

Didnt realise so many people around here. Iv been in mk2 fiesta scene before this. Had a silver mk2 xr2 may have seen around newbury area.
may have to try organise a meet unless there is one. Only one I know is basigstoke passionford.

We had to take Robs2 engine out the other day for a quick rebuild before the Tempest Rally my god that was hard work I think mine might be a tad easier lol
We will back to the grindstone soon as the rally season is just coming to the end so I will be putting some updates up

A bit more work done on the old girl rear chassis rials by the spring hangers we have a be toy in the Worksop a floor mounted wide throat Shrinker stretcher great for getting curves etc on some of the bits we are going to be doing on the old girl

Three separate parts of the chassis rail remade and the result, I also remade the internal strengthening plate on the front spring hanger
Now to repair this buy cutting a scollop out to the the axle up a bit higher we have already done this on the near side and repaired the chassis rail

I know it looks bad with the holes in the floor and the inner arches but they are all coming out for new 15" tubs and turrets
Repaired the rear rail and scalloped it out for some extra lift and left the flange off for the new turrets and tubs

Remade both end plate of the chassis rail last night plus a few other jobs now to make a start on fitting new rear wheel and tank wells then the 15" tubs
