    Yes that is me in the Mk1,I only made it up to 7th overall but set the 5th quickest lap time.

    what are the rules concerning engine size and chassis in the class you run? are you allowed spaceframes. obviously engine swaps are allowed but there must b a capacity limit im guessing?

    Nicks class is up to 2 litre but you are not allowed spceframes and non standard engine for car puts you up a class

    wouldn't the mini have a 2.0 vtec or is it a tuned lump from a lower class say 1600?

    its an A series engine with a kad 16v head, the head being aftermarket not a production head moves it up a class

    would fitting a pinto in a normal mk1 be allowed or would it have to be in a rs2000?

    also would a warrior head be allowed?

    pinto is fine in a mk1, it doesnt matter which engine a car started with, the important thing is what engine it could of been fitted with at the factory.

    warrier head would be allowed but would move it up a class

    mgb v8 would be ok, perana capri wouldnt, as the v8 was never a ford factory option

    What about an engine fitted to a subsequent model? For example a CVH/Zetec in a mk1 or mk2 Escort, it was fitted to an Escort after all

    name alone isnt enough, the scrutineers would take the view that a cvh/zetec cannot be fitted into a mk1 or 2 without penalties as they would regard it as the wrong engine for a car

    I guess you could fit a pinto/cosworth yb in a mk5/6 Escort within the rules

    if you have an escort cosworth yes, but then the escorth cosworth was a model in its own right. if you have a plain mk5 escort no
