    pinto pistons

    hi guys i have just stripped my rs2000 pinto engine down for a rebuild and the pistons was 20 hc which i guess is standerd size so im after some info on what would be best to put in there and do i get it bored out and if so how far can i go with out causing any engine isues down the line cheers

    At a guess i would say that means 2.0 high compression. And if you can get hold of some cheap 2.8i pistons you could make a 2.1 pinto. Depends on budget really.

    V6 pistons are short you would need to deck the block or fit cossy rods the circlip groove for wrist pin

    2.0hc means 2.0 high compression, yes they wil be cast pistons, doesnt mean they will be std size though.

    i personally would only bore it as far as needed to make the engine good, stretching them to 2.1 adds very little extra power

    didnt get in there today they was shut by the time i got home from work i got to wait it out till tuesday now let u no then
