    Pinto head locating dowel

    as heading, i'm after a pinto head locating dowel

    with all the engines i've got though i can't find any...

    if anybody has some old ones they don't want??

    I think the dowel in the mains are the same if that helps
    sideways is the best way to turn a corner

    that will be because pinto heads dont have locating dowels

    I just use a couple of old head bolts with the heads cut off to locate the head as I'm fitting it.

    mine did have a couple fitted a few years back but cant find them now :-( can't use old bolts as i don't have the room to drop it on, strut brace is in the way.

    Take the strut brace off then.

    id take the strut brace off, its not much work and makes getting the head back on much easier

    ??? why would they do that unless the suspension is hanging

    teh thing is if your engine had dowels someone modified it to use them, so you either need to find them again or have a good meassure up to work out what they might be from
