Not yet, I will be running the new engine in with no boost .

Then its got to be 'live' mapped on the new DTA

    management.

Its cost a lot of money to repair, and thats after the last

very expensive build melted up the pod having only done

    about a 1000 miles.

I would like to run against him, but until he raises his car up and gets some grip he will be staring at my rear panel

Re: cossied mk 2 lotus cortina

So close but yet so far, spent a fair bit of time up the
lockup yesterday, after gathering all of the fluids and tools
    I'd need.
Started off filling the engine oil and coolant , simple
    enough.
Then jacked her up and filled the gearbox with my leaky
    syringe,very messy!
Whilst underneath I gapped the tdc sensor properly as
    well.
Then decided which fuel pump to use so disconnected the earth on one of them and then cracked the unions under the bonnet only to have pressure on both ,seems they can earth through the lines/body as well, so had to disconnect the live as well !
Finally tried for some oil pressure before firing it up so took
out the dizzy and spun the pump up with a drill and bits.
success with the pressure but one and a half hours late and I still could not get the dizzy clamp back on so gave up, hoping to get back up there tomorrow as theres a bloody school inset day today !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crikey you have cracked on with it !

    Good effort :top:

What size is the TB ? a mate of mine ran a 75mm iirc (may of been bigger) on his 505hp let and once rolling the throttle was like a switch, no inbetween which he said made it quite difficult to control the wheelspin with the GT30 so switched back to a Cav V6 tb which is similar in size to a YB one.

Best of luck with the mapping, I still believe it wasn't a SCS issue why it failed in the first place unless you know different but if it were mine I would triple check all the wiring and fuel system, no doubt you have checked the whole car through anyway but I'd hate to see it melt again.

Not long till your pushing Kev down that strip now

Re: cossied mk 2 lotus cortina

My mate Jason is sticking with a 2.5" inlet to keep the throttle response. The bigger the throttle body the less responsive it gets apparently.
Can always change it to a 2wd one later on i guess.
