    Quaife kit for english axle

Does anyone know what kind of power the Quaife semi-floating, big bearing english axle strengthening kit can take before you really, really need to invest in a wallet bashing Atlas?

It's not the power that kills them it's the torque, so basically I wouldn't risk one with a cossie turbo lump, it may be cheaper but it's still fairly expensive if you break it

I have heard of people running 230+ bhp through English axles on race circuits with no trouble at all.

However if you start drag racing, donuts, drifting etc you will be giving it a much harder time

Andy Pipe races a Mk1 with a 1600 x-flow and has broken the shafts quite a few times, this is on 7" slicks, Like Mark say's its the torque to grip ratio that does the damage, if you've got no grip the shafts won't break, an Atlas can work out cheaper in the long run.
