hello everyone. today i spotted a mk1 escort possibly a 1.1L or something similar. It was buried up the corner of a farm where we go for slurry. i asked the farmer if he wouldn't mind if i had a look. i took a couple of pictures to show you guys. the way he spoke about it he dosnt really sea,m to care much about it and im not sure he knows the value of this little 2 door.
I will investigate further and see if i can put in a cheeky offer with the chance of being bitten. Seams quite tidy and wound be a hard restoration hasnt been molested either by the looks of it a nice straight factory escort.

Just to confirm to everyone i haven't brought the car i was replying to big jays message about if i got his private message not that i had brought the car.

Secondly i have spoken to the farmer and he informs me that the car belonged to his brother and has been sitting up at his farm for 8+ years with the intention of doing it up. However sadly his bother passed away a year ago (was only 55). The car is still registered in his name and the family haven't decided who actually owns the car and who it should be left to in his family. The farmer says the car will most likely go to his son (the brother who died son) but a decision is yet to be made and will stay where it is for now. He has told me once it is sorted that i have first offer but it all depends on who ends up with it if they sell it or not. But it will be up to the son to decide if he is to sell the car or not. Its fingers crossed as the farmer dosnt seam to be very computer literate but the son being a younger generation will do his research and most likely want top whack for it. :/
