If anyone can help I have alloy hubs with wilwood caliper sand minilite style wheels 8x13 et-6 but the wheels tighten up onto the caliper on the start of the spokes (I've try spacing it out with washers just to see what it takes to clear 9mm)
If anyone can help I have alloy hubs with wilwood caliper sand minilite style wheels 8x13 et-6 but the wheels tighten up onto the caliper on the start of the spokes (I've try spacing it out with washers just to see what it takes to clear 9mm)
Those hubs looks totally wrong, the disc mounting face to wheel mounting face looks way too narrow, the caliper never sits out past the wheel face on the hub.
Should look like this bud, don't think your hubs are correct, never seen ones like that before.

Think I can see what I've done now I'll have a look when I get home http://awswww.turbosport.co.uk/images/smilies/dunce.gif
Disks on backwards i think Mark!
Yeah think I had a blonde moment did it all from scratch for first time I'll have a look later
That's what I thought originally but surely you'd see the pad gap in the caliper unequal on each side??
It the disk centeral in the caliper? Where did you get the hubs from as even if you put the disk on the other way it still doesn't look deep enough. If you bought the kit complete what kit was it and was it bought new?
Thanks for all replys I'll drop it back on bench I hope that if I turn disc remount caliper on back it will sort it
That's what I thought, those hubs look odd.
Yeah like I said had a blonde moment building it from scratch , ☺️ just hope what looks like will put it right - does
Are you sure those are the right hubs??
Don't think you can really put them on round the wrong way as the disc bolts into the hub, and the only through holes are where the studs get pressed in.
Those hubs do look very narrow. I can photo mine tomorrow if it helps
Yeah look like wrong hubs took them off spun discs now can't even get caliper bracket on I've taken some pics on strut and loose with vernier........ Next big question anybody got any hubs for sale
Pics to follow thanks for all your help . mark

The disk andhub look the right set up in these photos. What about the caliper mounts could they be the wrong ones? Does the disk sit inthe middle of the calliper when mounted? I would check the struts i have but i am not near the garage at the moment.
Can't even get caliper bracket on now disc is nearly touching back of strut. Only think I can think of has the hubs got the wrong bearings allowing the hub to go to far onto the stub ( I've alway thought they were sitting quiet far in) struts and brakes came from the same place new but the hubs are of a unfinished project unused.
There big bearing type hubs ( wonder if there not big bearing type bearings)
if you have the wrong bearings it should be obvious, something physically wont fit or will be loose as hell
You must have the wrong caliper mounts then or your putting the brackets on the wrong way. Any pictures of the caliper slid over the disk and of the caliper brackets and how far they are off the mounting point?
I'll take some of caliper and mounting bracket on when I get in.
But even with nothing on surley discs shouldn't be this close there just about rubbing the pain on the legs
These look like radial mounted calipers yeah?, the caliper mounts aren't handed by any chance are they?, although looking at the photo the pads seem to be fitted ok which is the bit I don't understand, is it the right discs??
as long as the disc isnt touching the leg its fine if the caliper fits centrally over the disc
these are standard 2.8 discs and hubs all seems ok with your set up so far. look at the hole for the split pin compared to the hub that seems to be in a reasonable distance to fit the locking cap indicating all looks ok aswell. I would have a good look as suggested if the mounts are handed

Yes Eric Capri legs discs and m16 replacement caliper all from the Same place..... I'll get them on bench take pics if I can't work it out myself and let you lads on here have a look, see if I'm just being a muppet of if somethings actually wrong.
Wildo105e THANKS for the pics I can see your disc is as close as mine. As graham said as long as not touching looks like I've been worrying for nothing. Thanks to everyone
have the same capri legs, alloy hubs, and hispec calipers, vented discs are close as the Wildo105e ones.
I had to use other spacers like the ones from Wildo to have the calipers correctly centered.
My ap disks are that close to the caliper mounting points too. Maybe you have put the bracket on the wrong side or upside down? One thing i would recomend though is stripping the disk off and bolting up the caliper and bracket (once you know how is goes on) and make sure the bolt doesn't stick out of the mounting lug too far to foul the disk.
Yes freddy already checked bolt sizes.
Dropped both sides on bench not handed I put brackets on spacers same as wildo105e all looked good but on tightening caliper to bracket it closed up on disc stopping disc spinning. I put a 1.9mm washer between caliper and bracket to act as a spacer and all looks good I have put some pics on unless anyone can see any problem with it I'm happy with them.
Thanks to everyone for there help

Looking at that pic you can see the caliper is sitting too far out, got to be the bracket.maybe there's meant to be a spacer / washer between the bracket and strut mounting holes to move the bracket in the distance you need??

Above spacers that came with them look same as Wilson105e if it looks too far I can move them in with a smaller one
Bracket fouls disc without them
