I am looking at building a Pinto 2ltr engine with a reliable bottom end capable of taking up to 7500rpm. I want to go with the longest rod with smallest piston I can find (within reason).
I have found these Crower Rods & Ross Pistons for pretty good money, and as this a combination I haven't seen much of, can I get a few opinions whether it will work well and how to work out whether it will sit proud of the block or if I'll need to machine much off the block?
The rod specs are -
Length = 145mm
BE Bore = 55mm
Pin Dia = 23.55mm
BE Width = 25.7mm (What is the standard crank journal width?
