We always hear about the crap things that people get up to nowadays and very rarely the good deeds people do, sometimes it the smallest of things that make the difference to your day and help restores your faith in your fellow man.
Case in point, went to Lincoln to get wifes birthday prezzie, parked in the carpark which has first half hour free, well at least it used to. Went over to the machine and they have now changed it so its a minimum of a quid for an hour, rumaged in my pocket but only had 40p in change and as I was looking the parking attendant strolls over. Had seen him checking in the windows of the other cars so think great he's gonna be straight on me wit a ticket! It was an old chap, easily 60 (no offence meant to anyone of that age, but its old to me being on 39) His first words were dont be putting loads of money in we close in an hour, so I said would you mind if I just go get some change at which point he goes through his pockets but doesnt have a quid either. Tells me not to worry as he isnt really checking the tickets he's just wandering round in case his boss is watching and besides he didnt have his camera with him as apparently they now have to take pics of cars to prove it was out of time etc. Stood talking with him for 10-minutes then went off to do shopping. Nice old bloke and he didnt have to do that, thankfully not a 'jobsworth' like some I have come accross and I went away thinking that was a really nice gesture
