Replacing the plastic window surrounds on a mobile home.
They are a tight fit, and my hands are bloody frozen which is making it difficult.
Ballsed the first one up by cutting the surround too short.

Trying to keep the very persistant herons out of my pond.
The bastards are eating all my frogs and frogspawn.
Last year one of them killed a 5lb+ carp in my pond, feckin things, didn't even eat it.
Also trying to stop the even more persistant pigeons from eating my cabbages. With all these new gun laws and relatively cheap food, nobody shoots pigeons any more and they are becoming a major problem. The same goes for rabbits.

You can shoot anything you want.
But it is not always legal, and you can end up in very big trouble.
Herons are a protected species I think, so you can't shoot them.
Personally I wouldn't shoot them anyway, I take the view that if you have a pond, you will also have a heron.
I don't really understand why people do shoot them just because they are eating their fish. What do they expect.
A bit like having pet mice outside and shooting cats.

I keep trying to introduce my little Russian comrades to the delights of eating rabbits, but they are not over keen.

I see them flying around, but not much, I saw one on Friday though.
If one of them comes onto my pond it will be shot. Illegal or not.
The biggest reason they come inland is because of the overfishing in the sea in my opinion. I think if the devastation that trawling does was more visible there would be a massive public outcry.

Been bloody busy today!
Up at about 7ish, took the wife up a cup of tea, made breakfast - a bit of toast for her and a big fry up for me, went for a walk into Hornchurch, had a coffee and a panini in the deli, bought some nice fillet steaks in the butchers for tea tonight, some smoked haddock from Sainsbury's for my breakkie tomorrow, queued up in the Abbey National for about half an hour, bought some seeds from Woolies (gonna grow my own herbs this year (wife took the piss so she won't be getting any), came back and cleaned out the understairs cupboard of shoes (chucked about 6 pairs out) along with about a zillion plastic carrier bags (what does she save them for?), put a couple of chairs that I got down last Saturday back in the loft, took a couple of crate loads of empty wine bottles down the bottle bank, filled up both cars with windscreen wash fluid, bought some tiny halogen bulbs for the kitchen undercupboard lighting from eBay cos I refuse to pay the silly prices they ask in high street shops.
Only then was I 'allowed' to play on the internet! Think I'll go and lie down for a while now. I'm knackered.
