blimey this one moved on quickly... not too sure if me car will make it there and back, or if i will be able to come up with the monies, but be assured if i can come up with the monies ill be there, even if i come for the trip but cant go on track i wouldnt mind that much, cos if you drive ya car over there (which i would have to do ) and break it thats genna be expensive to get back
if i cant get enough work to earn the money tho then maybe ill ask jay or dan if i can be one of their passengers

Lol, if stretching to tops let me know if this interests:

I e-mailed a designer and asked whether they could design a poster in A4 for visit to Spa Francorchamps in 2010.

The idea is to have the poster printed in colour as a keepsake for those that attend.

They could use images of 2 or 3 cars, e.g. Lotus Cortina, Escort Mexico, and/or a.n. other saloon car, etc, maybe coming round the corner Roger Clark style……….

The poster could be a motor racing classic design with the key words of:

‘Turbosport tour Spa Francorchamps [April or May] 2010’

Design is £29 + printing… Is this something that anyone would be interested in for their garage, bedroom, wherever… Even if only 7 want one could be roughly £5 each or less dependant on number.

Let me know if interested and if comes off I’ll get them to design…?

ive got an illustration i did a while back, more than happy for you to use it (as long as it has turbosport written on it somewhere obviously)... can modify the screen letting to anything easy enough.



takes about 8 hours from start to finish if you wanted others doing, just need a decent picture to go off. wouldnt take too long to turn into a poster... and it'd be free obviously could sort out some pukka printing too altho that wouldnt be free

would have to do it after hours but i could run a few specials off on the newsprint printer at work.. its a 1metre wide roll about 30 meters long

top speed for a long circuit

Hello mate Can you explain more what you mean by top speed for a long circuit?

I'm keeping mine 3.9 CWP for this and will use 3rd, 4th & 5th and hoping to be in this region...

Well, Spa has some very long high speed sections, and before my brother only had a 4 speed dog box with a 5.1:1 diff ratio. Topped out at 119mph and got there very quickly. Now it has a tractive 6 speed gearbox with a much taller diff ratio, meaning now it can do 140+.

That's all I meant. With a 3.9:1 and a 5 speed box you'll be just fine, that's good for 140+ too.
