Good to see a seriously nice looking Corsair. My dad had one, late '70's with the 1700 V4. It went good for its time but, Yours will be like s**t off a shovel.
Well done on getting a cracker...................Seriously Jealous!!
Thats brilliant! Looks like a great example and looks like something you could drive everyday. Ace!
Here are some more pics & an update....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Exhaust:-
Well, I've got the car up on four axle stands in the garage & taken the old exhausts off.. I've cut off the front pipes & fabricated a 90º bend to go under the gearbox to the other side, ordered a 2 into 1 y-piece in 2" & some bends & pipe... Will post some pictures when it all arrives next week ..
Wheels:-
I've fitted some new wheels in 15".
I've got some plans for these, so once there done they will be different to say the least ..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Start of front link pipes
Front link pipes-Prior to weldiing
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nearly all parts are here now, just waiting for the clamps
Full Stainless system £125 :-D....
I've also managed to aquire a V6 type 9 gearbox, so motorway cruising will be a bit more economical lol...
Sweet ride
did you get an essex bellhousing with the gearbox? blinder if you did
I'm liking the steels and single tailpipe, stealth
That looks sweet and I bet It burbles along nicely...cool
Nice one. A cool cruiser.
Looking good mate!
Have now fitted my 2 1/2" lowering blocks on the rear and need to make up my exhaust hangers so the exhaust clears the ground lol...

its looking good
Took some pics with my Good Camera today to show the car as it stands today ..
looks spot on nicely done
Looks nice but runs like crap by the sound of the video, missing 1-2 pots. Got it sorted yet?
Rotten V8; Ford Granada mk1 V8 N/A 500hp
Cheers for all the comments guys....
No not sorted yet , It only running on 5 cylinders. The problem seems to be number 4 cylinder. I can pull the plug lead off and it makes no difference, Compression on all 6 cylinders ok & plug & lead on number 4 ok.... I'm going to pull the rocker cover off and see if the valve is stuck..

if you got compression it cant have a stuck valve, maybe the inlet manifold gasket has split and you have a big air leak on that cylinder
Well no stuck valves , I've replaced all the ignition side to eliminate that.. I know its running super rich, so I'm going to take the top off the carb & see what's in there..
Hey, I have just started resorting my corsair v4. Any help will be appreciated. Based In India, so getting parts is a tremendous pain!!
