Good to see a seriously nice looking Corsair. My dad had one, late '70's with the 1700 V4. It went good for its time but, Yours will be like s**t off a shovel.
Well done on getting a cracker...................Seriously Jealous!!

    Re: Corsair V6

Here are some more pics & an update....

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Exhaust:-
Well, I've got the car up on four axle stands in the garage & taken the old exhausts off.. I've cut off the front pipes & fabricated a 90º bend to go under the gearbox to the other side, ordered a 2 into 1 y-piece in 2" & some bends & pipe... Will post some pictures when it all arrives next week ..

    Wheels:-
I've fitted some new wheels in 15".

I've got some plans for these, so once there done they will be different to say the least ..

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Start of front link pipes

    Front link pipes-Prior to weldiing

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nearly all parts are here now, just waiting for the clamps

    Full Stainless system £125 :-D....

I've also managed to aquire a V6 type 9 gearbox, so motorway cruising will be a bit more economical lol...

Yes gonna just paint the Steels either matt black or gunmetal, I've got a redrilled V6 bellhousing to copy when I take mine off to swap it. I've also just got a 50" Atlas rear end for it to get the diff ratio (3.09:1) lower to further improve the MPG ...

No not sorted yet , It only running on 5 cylinders. The problem seems to be number 4 cylinder. I can pull the plug lead off and it makes no difference, Compression on all 6 cylinders ok & plug & lead on number 4 ok.... I'm going to pull the rocker cover off and see if the valve is stuck..

    Re: Corsair V6

if you got compression it cant have a stuck valve, maybe the inlet manifold gasket has split and you have a big air leak on that cylinder

Well no stuck valves , I've replaced all the ignition side to eliminate that.. I know its running super rich, so I'm going to take the top off the carb & see what's in there..
