Mk1 Escort 1300 Sport

Hi all, does anyone on here have or used to have a Mk1 Escort 1300 Sport?

The question I have is does it say sport on your log book or GT.

Mine says GT but the chassis plate says version Q which denotes Sport.

Is this how they all come or is it just a clerical error?

dvla or whatever they were called when these cars were new would put almost anything on the log book, it seems that everyone that worked there put something different!

As the 1300 GT was the younger of the two I guess some Sports will be listed as a GT

Not unlike a lot od Mexicos for sale now were listed as a 1300 pop

I had one in the 80s. It said "1300L Base". It was definitely an original sport. I had the bill of sale and spoke to to the first owner.

I have a sport it says sport on the log book.

'Q' is correct. BBAT***** is the prefix.

I had a sport back in the late 80's, quite sure the log book said 'SPORT'
