Engine for your old skool ford, and why?

I like rpm, believe in the power/weight ratio and it is reliable for a year of motoring. So i choose the Xflow pushrod.

lotus twin cam ,sounds better,more rortier(if you know what i mean) than a normal x-flow on 40's.

I chose pinto. Easily tuneable, cheap to buy - unlike cossie/lotus, cheap to tune, very reliable, and you can get good BHP and torque

Cossie Turbo, massive power for not a lot of cash (compared to other options)

but for sound, you can't beat a lairy BD on big carbs

The new duratec definately. An almost perfect mass produced race engine... 195bhp standard with throttle bodies .

Its the ultimate for power but its so god damn heavy. Still wouldn't say no to one but for some reason a turbo doesn't seem right in an old skool Ford...dunno why though

x-flow for me. Light as, and pretty powerful if done right, and a lor higher revving than most.
