Definetly takes its toll. Trouble is, when you only have an hour between races, you cant afford to find a nice piece of rubber to protect the rails

Interior painted
Rest of the car gets painted in the morning, then a mad rush to fit it up
Looks good How low are you planning on running the car? those link boxes look tall
As low as we can possibly get it, without throwing out the geometry to much
Only by 50mm above the standard rally car types ..so a 50mm drop in ride height from the rally types designed ride height of standard to plus 1 inch means geometry is still the same
I said that without moving my lips
Its painted
looking smooth andy now youre going to have to spend a day sticking all the stickers back on it
tommy 2000
Nah, got a man who does that
oh ok.i think al might ne the one rubbing them off again though
tommy 2000
Is that the same colour Andy?
Looks a bit biege.
Could be the light
Same colour. Taken on phone.
I will get some proper piccies today when i start fitting it up
Give Ray a pat on the back from me Andy
He did a very nice job, the pics don't show just how nice the colour has come out. Mind you the guy who did the hours of prepping on the body for Ray didn't do a bad job either
It was very nice to get the car back on its wheels with all the suspension and steering (also minty fresh and repainted) yesterday, all we need now is an engine. Mind you there was a small block chevy on the floor next to the escort, but it didn't quite fit.
Well done to Ray though, the car looks like it should again, and thanks to him and Larry for letting us take over his garage for the last week

Its home at last
There's a good lad, getting the important stickers on first
Mind you, can you keep some thick black tank-tape handy when you're at race meetings, just incase you start breaking halfshafts again and need to cover up the Fostek stickers quickly???
Talking of stickers Tom... need another one for the N/s of Davids car
Looking Good Andy.
Looking very nice Andy
Looks stunning Andy, shame I couldn't make the Easter weekend tho Need a chat with you about trailer hire in a few weeks
1st race on Saturday. Cars coming along but missing one vital ingredient
whats the spec of the new engine Andy..??
hows it coming along, have you had it on the engine dyno yet...
My dad went down today to drop the exhaust manifold off, so should be going on the dyno soon
cutting it fine andy.i hope you make saturday mate.would be a bummer if you missed the first race of the season
tommy 2000
hmm know the feeling,
got my fingers crossed for you andy,
fired mine up to day, but only for a couple of seconds, as its got no exhaust at all, and the cooling system doesnt yet hold any water.
rolling road booked on wednesday,
tomorrow could be very busy.............
or very quiet if the stuff i'm waiting for doesnt show,
and if it dont arrive tomorrow then i wont make lydden, i cant risk racing with NO running in or remapping whatso ever
saw the car on saturday lookin very impressive in the garage just needs that 1 last thing to finish it off.
good to meet the WP team on saturday aswell
The block is all painted and the parts are clean ready for assembly so its looking good m8.
Cant wait to see what difference there is between the last dyno plot and the new one.

Think theres at least 30 people all crossing fingers and toes that arron can get the engine to Andy in time ...
The engine is almost ready for the dyno, there is a formula ford on first thing in the morning, should get a slot around lunchtime for an afternoon session. Praying all goes well.
