What about this spec? You've got the head, block & cam as me, but I run twincam pistons on a decked block (0.125" from memory) with a flat head. BUT - you will need mapped ignition £££. My engine is used for sprints & hillclimbs in a roadgoing Mk1 Escort and has lasted 12 years of serious caning with only one new set of bearings as a precaution 5 years ago. With T/C pistons it revs like no tomorrow on a standard crank.
Other bits to be sure of are balancing everything, dowelling flywheel, decent i.e. new rocker gear & plenty of Loctite cos it shakes worse than a bag of snakes. The flat head/flat piston thing is a Dave Walker (Emerald) spec. from years ago.
