you can find VW 90,5 92 and 94 mm pistons in 39,5 mm and 35 mm height. I've been using 92mm with a stroked crank, diesel rods and smaller small end bearing fitted.
Don't worry about the revs, Pinto's don't make power so high and piston can take the revs. But be sure you fit them right, they have the pin out of centre. The mark on the piston at VW face to the flywheel, not from. VW says flywheel is front (look at the point where the engine is and they got it right).
What I can also tell you is they run very smooth. Maybe because of the pin out of centre, don't know but compared with other pistons I've been using the Mahle VW pistons run very smooth. Today there are many replica's of the Mahle, not sure they are OK. Beware, sold in Mahle boxes but no Mahle name cast in the piston!!!!!
