Re: My cossie\'s back but there\'s a problem....

Got some probs resizing the images, it is making the edges look really rough.

Anyway, until I fix that, here is how it looked earlier today! A bodyshop pal of mine came to see me and was very impressed by the finish. He couldn't find any runs, orange peel or anything - he reckons 2-pack paint was used and apparently virtually no one uses it anymore due to the cost. Well, if it's good enough for him then it'll do me!

Anyhow, when the new trim turns up it's back to the bodyshop to have them fitted and the jacking covers added.

I'm rather pleased by it all!

Ooops! Just seen your replies guys!

Thanks, and believe me when I say the pics don't do it justice. I cannot recommend Mark the painter highly enough, and all for a pretty sorted price considering the ammount of time he spent on the car. If you live anywhere near Bedford then he is the guy to use.

And even if you don't live nearby, it'll be worth the journey!

Once I have sussed out how to use the camera properly, got proper weather and had the alloys reconditioned I'll take a new set of photo's. Might be a while though!

Have you decided to ditch the side strips?

No I haven't steve, I just haven't got my finger out and ordered them!

It may look ok in the photo's but IMO it looks pants in the flesh without them. Really do need to gret the alloys sorted now.

Looks nice. Its a rare colour that one.The side strips would really finish it,when you put them on the paint looks even better.
What polish have you used?Get some race glaze crem perfection on it,that stuff is unreal.

I got mine from race glaze.co.uk.For a 250ml bottle it costs about £13 inc postage but it goes a long way,i couldnt believe the finish it gave.
