    My First Car

    This was my first car..........

I bought it for next to nothing when I was 17, and used it everyday for the next five years. It had over 200,000 miles on the clock when I was finished with it!
It started as a rusty metalic blue 1.3L 4 speed and ended up with a 1600 XR2 engine, XR3i 5speed, air filter, ashley exhaust and manifold, uprated shox n springs, Mk4 ignition, mega stereo all nicely fitted, with three big amps, two 12" subs, 12 disc changer, full XR3i interior with all the electrics and then some....it went through two resprays in one off colours, smoothed tailgate, delocked, solenoid boot release, RS/XR bumpers, RS bodykit and wheels, MK4 rear lights, modded grille, the list goes on and on! I spent ages, and a fortune on that car!

Lets see and hear about some other first cars, or even just first fords..........

Who's Andy and what's he got?

And regarding the doughnut marks, well I should own up to that! I knew it would make a good pic', and it was good fun!
(who says you can't have fun in FWD motors?!)

Cool, nice car. Like the subtle smooth look.
It looks cool but i sure wouldn't ever ditch the door handles, that would be such a bloody hassle....
I know one guy who did this and the first time he was near the car he locked himself out!
He then had to drill through the floor and whack the boot release with a screwdriver to get back in!

Whats the Saxo all about though?!!

                    Re: My First Car

hey mate im andy, the car in my sig has been slightly photoshopped and it still has the handles, everything else is the same as the pics tho. its off the road but i am definitely doing stuff to it this winter, its a 1600 gl with a kent cam and k&n lowered on red springs and yellow shox. i have rs turbo seats to go in and i am collecting bits for it to build a zvh running a pair of 40's (probably upgrade to 45's tho), also got a few other bits n bobs, i love estates, just something about them !!

by the way, yours looks the bollox, i like the way you kept it all ford stuff, well apart from the grille

post any more pics that you have

                        Cheers Andy!
I prefer to keep it mostly from the same car/time or at least manufacturer when modding my cars....
The grille is a Ford bit (orion/S1 turbo), its just had the middle chopped out!
Like the sound of your estate, looks cool and sounds very interesting...

I'll try and find some more pix of mine when i get the chance.
