Take off the trims, paint the wheels black, then put the trims back on, the trims will stand out more then, and use matt black, not gloss.

I was thinking of just leaving it but loads of people said it's better in black so I will when I get the chance to paint them.

The things that were replaced on the Citroen AX is the wheel trims, new CD Player what you can see, put Sony 6x9 in the back and put harness thingys on the seatbelts.

The new wheel trims make it look higher. It shouldn't be any higher cuz the wheels are the same size 13" ones they are and bad news about 1 wheel trim snapped on the drivers side ill have to get a new 1 at halfords .

imho i would leave it as it is

The car looks like a good condition AX and lowering it ect will just devalue the car with no performance gains

Its the type of car that new drivers choose just because its cheap motoring if you modify it you will alienate the only type of buyer for the car

Oh and yes i would have been proud of a car that clean when i first started driving

Just my opinion dont mean its right lol

i do agree with you wolfie lowering it will devalue the car but have you been in 1 round a corner major body roll and if he keeps the original springs + shocks he can put them back on wen he sells it

Thanks mate for the comments I agree with that I cleaned it up nicely but just need to do the engine and underneath it now I haven't done the engine yet. There are a few scarches on it by the second owner of it but we've had it for five and a half years now and it's only done 35600miles on the clock. It only had 28000 or 29000 miles on the clock when first brought. Were the 3 owner of it and it would be a shame to get rid of it cuz it's such a reliable car. It starts every morning for my mum and shes going to pass it on to me for free. She still uses it at the moment though and keeps getting it dirty.

As first cars go, thats a clean one mate Alot better than corsa's and saxos
Just keep it as it is, keep it clean, service it on time, and build up ya no claims bonus's
Then buy a cossie
