Hi, just registered @bbs lastnight.
I am at present just looking to spend some hard earned cash on a ST170 and i see you are a owner of one such car, i was wondering if you can give me any feedback on this car and any Insurance Companies that you have tried that have come back with descent charges.
My age is 31
11 years NCBonus
no points on licence

Any comments on this car would be much appreciated

Mark - I am 25, 6yrs NCB & 3 points living in Northants. It costs me £600 FC through www.axamotor.co.uk There are loads of other people to try - I put together an insurance post on this BB as an aid - click HERE to have a look.

Regarding the car itself - It gets better every time I drive it. These engines aren't fully run in until about 9k it seems, judging by all the brand new and slightly used Focus company cars I get to drive.

All I'll say is - test drive it in the wet, and down windy back roads. I don't drive my cars very hard, but the feeling of stability you get from the Focus almost makes you want to drive it hard just to see if it actually will break traction! I love mine, but sadly need the money for my new house.

nice car - now you can join www.stownersclub.com! (free membership still available for a limited time). its a good site, Percy's Corner is the best part.

they are having a smart stand at Trax (silverstone) in september.
