Running report is that nearly everything has now been done apart from Ahmed's final live map and other little bits and bobs (got another idea in mind aswell however will wait for a while so that I can save up for that one).
Power Engineering asked if I could put it on their rollers (as they are 2 mins away from where I live so I went down there running half boost (just under 1 bar) and their rolling road simply could not cope with the power (even at half boost and a slight leak on my exh manifold).
At 1 bar and shed loads of power lost in wheel spin their rolling road captured the result below.
Still running 1/2 boost (1 bar) and with two people sitting on the car, 2 people sitting in the car and 6 straps holding it down tight the thing was just wheel spinning on the rolling road.
The technician said that it was murder trying to keep it strapped down in 5th gear at just 1bar of boost. I wonder what it's going to be like at 2bar!?
We were unable to obtain an accurate power figure at even 1 bar as the power was being lost dramatically in wheelspin on the rollers + slight leak on exh manifold however at half boost the graph showed 286bhp and 297lb torque. Rock on full boost.
No matter how hard they tried....straps on the top, straps on the bottom, straps on the back, people sitting on the car, more people sitting in the car.....it just kept on spinning like a betch.
I look forward to seeing power it will make once it's running full boost with everything 100% finished (on the engine dyno again ofcourse )
