A few years ago I used to drive a car transporter round the continent picking up crashed or broken down holidaymakers' cars.I also used to deliver Astons from Newport Pagnell on the way out so I've been to their workshops and driven most of the range.They are the bollox.
Once I brought one back from Switzerland to NP cause it had a stone chip in the bonnet (some people are way too rich!) It had 50 layers of paint on it
There was also one in the workshops belonging to an Arab feller.He had had it converted to a saloon from a coupe,then to an estate car and then to a limo.It had already cost well over half a mill and it wasn't finished yet
I also took one out to Andorra for a feller who's wife had bought it for him as a Christmas prezzie ... how nice of her ?

They're no where near as good as people might think (or want to believe).

Deffo not worth the money IMHO. The (true) stories I could tell you about the Vanquish engine would make you cringe.

Sorry - that should read "Nowhere near as good nowadays" the older ones are F-A-B!

I think the Aston Martin Vanquish is the best looking car to date. I think the interiors all look really boring No buckets or racey look to them. Just full of old wood and dead cows..

I found a photo repository at work of all of Ford & the PAG brands press photo's. I have a folder at work brimming with rare and not so rare piccies. I am intending to upload them as I go through them and take out the rubbish ones.

The folder is currently over 200megs! - and there are loads of the revamped GT40

The job was good for about 2 years until I got bored with being away from home for 2 weeks at a time and living in a truck (not much room in a transporter cab) I went everywhere in Europe,as far as Eastern Bloc countries and up to Norway,down to Morrocco and everywhere in between.When I stopped doing European I just did UK work driving a 3 deck artic.I'll put up a pic in the "cars" gallery.
